Bangkok Restaurant Review: Arawy Vegetarian Restaurant and Wat Suthat

For a couple of days while I was in Bangkok my meetings didn’t start until 10am, which meant I had the luxury of getting up early and going for a run or walk and having breakfast outside of the hotel.  One morning I went to Ethos for a dragon fruit and banana smoothie and some of their delicious granola served over fruit with coconut cream.

Bangkok Restaurant Review: Erawan Tea Room

On the Sunday evening I was in Bangkok, I had a dinner meeting with some colleagues to strategize for the week ahead.  I suggested we go to Erawan Tea Room, a small Thai restaurant attached to the Erawan Grand Hyatt hotel.  I had been there a couple of years earlier and recalled really great food in a quiet and pleasant environment that was just perfect for a meeting.  Plus I knew they could cater to me, as well as to my omnivore colleagues.

But I have made it out a few times to some great restaurants in the city and will review them over the next few days. Some were vegetarian/vegan and some omni that cater well for vegans.

Lunch at MBK in Bangkok and the trip home

On my last day in Bangkok, I was planning on a quick lunch at a small vegetarian restaurant in Banglamphu. Instead, a friend of mine was heading to MBK, one of Bangkok’s megamalls, for some shopping before she headed to the airport.  I had heard good things about Big Papa, a vegetarian food stall located inside of MBK’s international food court, and so I decided to join her for lunch and check that out instead.
