Chocolate Peanut Butter Green Smoothie

Peanut butter and chocolate is a match made in heaven and this green smoothie is just divine! The best thing is, it not only tastes great, it’s good for you! Raw cacao is full of healthy antioxidants and the flax seeds provide much-needed Omega-3 fats. When combined with kale this smoothie is a nutritional powerhouse. Though it’s just as good with spinach too!

This is what I asked my partner to make me for breakfast on my birthday this year. And this is what I make whenever I want a morning treat. I could drink this all day, every day. And the best thing is, it’s one chocolatey treat I can enjoy at any time without any guilt whatsoever!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Green Smoothie

  1. 3 cups kale or baby spinach
  2. 2 bananas, frozen
  3. 1¼ cups almond milk, or other vegan milk
  4. 2 tbsps raw cacao powder
  5. 2 tbsps of powdered peanut butter OR 1 tbsp peanut butter
  6. 1 tbsp flax seeds
  7. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  8. Tiny pinch of salt
  9. Stevia, to taste
  10. Raw Cocoa Nibs (optional)
  1. Place all ingredients except the cocoa nibs in a blender and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Top with cocoa nibs and sip away!
