Basic Berry Banana Green Smoothie

This is a go-to green smoothie recipe for me because it’s so easy and always tastes so good. There’s really nothing to it but bananas, berries and greens.  It’s delicious whether you use blueberries, raspberries, or mixed berries. It’s yummy with both spinach and kale. I will often add hemp seeds, pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds. And on those days when I need a little something more, some protein powder.  This truly is a smoothie that just can’t go wrong!  

Basic Berry Banana Green Smoothie

  1. 3 cups baby spinach, fresh
  2. 2 cups berries, frozen (your choice)
  3. 1 banana, frozen
  4. 2 cups almond milk
  5. 3 tbsps hemp protein powder (I love nutiva naturals high-fiber hemp protein or other use another protein powder)
  6. Ice
  7. Stevia, to taste
  8. 1/2 tsp hemp seeds (optional)
  1. Place all ingredients, except hemp seeds, in blender and blend on high until smooth.
  2. Sprinkle hemp seeds on top.
  3. Drink away!
