Key Lime Pie Green Smoothie

It has been a while since I posted a smoothie recipe, so here is a quick and easy one for you.  A few weeks ago my partner asked me to make him a key lime pie.  After an attempt or two that wasn’t quite like the pie he remembered from his youth, I nailed it.  I’ll share that recipe soon, but I decided right then and there that I needed to make a key lime pie smoothie!

This smoothie is incredibly refreshing and invigorating. The lime is nice and tart, balanced against creamy sweet bananas and coconut. Perfect for these warmer spring days! And of course with a healthy helping of greens, and whole food ingredients, it is also very good for you. 

Key Lime Pie Green Smoothie

  1. 2 limes, peeled, fresh or frozen
  2. 2 bananas, frozen
  3. 1 1/2 cups of almond milk
  4. 1 tbsp of hemp seeds
  5. 1 tbsp of shredded coconut
  6. 3 cups of baby spinach
  7. Tiny pinch of salt
  8. Stevia, or other sweetener, to taste (optional)
  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until smooth.
