Vanilla Chai Green Smoothie

There is something very comforting and warming about chai spices that make them perfect for the winter time. Okay, perfect year round, but especially winter. 

There is not much to say about this smoothie other than it is just incredibly tasty. The flavors are that perfect balance of sweet and spicy that makes your tastebuds dance. With all of the ingredients it might seem a bit fussy, but it really is so worth it. 

Vanilla Chai Green Smoothie

  1. 2 frozen bananas, chopped
  2. 3 cups baby spinach
  3. 1 cup almond milk
  4. 1 serving of vanilla protein powder (I use Plant Fusion)
  5. 2 tsps vanilla extract
  6. ½ tsp of cinnamon
  7. 1/8 tsp of cardamom
  8. 1/8 tsp of allspice
  9. 1/8 tsp of nutmeg
  10. 1 piece of a star anise pod
  11. 1 clove
  12. 1/8 tsp of salt
  13. 1 cup ice (optional)
  14. Stevia to taste (optional)
  1. Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
