I had been craving pancakes for the last week or so. So when my partner said on Wednesday that he was craving sausage, I knew I would be making breakfast for dinner.

These pancakes are much lighter and far more delicate than some of my other vegan and gluten-free pancake recipes.  I wanted something that would be nice and fluffy and encompass the blueberries, rather than be dominated by them.

Chili Chocolate Green Smoothie

While I was in Warsaw I tried a chili hot chocolate for the first time and absolutely loved it. I had to come home and try it in a green smoothie. And the results? Amazing!

The cayenne pepper in this smoothie will get your blood flowing and the raw cacao comes is packed with anti-oxidants.

What better way to start your day?

Chiang Mai Restaurant Review: Anchan Vegetarian Restaurant

My friends Vicci and Faye described Anchan Vegetarian Restaurant as the best restaurant in Chiang Mai, so when we all decided to go there for dinner one Friday night I was very excited.  The restaurant is located in a small soi off Nimmenhaemin Road, a very cool part of Chiang Mai with great shopping, plenty of restaurants, and lots of energy.

Soy Shwarma, Caramelized Onions & Paprika & Cinnamon-dusted Sweet Potatoes

I have been fantasizing about the delicious soy shwarma I had in Warsaw at Tel-Aviv and Marrakesh for the past month. It was so tender and so tasty! Perfectly seasoned deliciousness! 

This evening as I was heading home on the train, thinking about what to make for dinner, and running through what I had in the fridge, I realized I had all that I needed to try my hand at recreating it.

Chiang Dao, Thailand Restaurant Review: Chiang Dao Nest 1 (and Chiang Dao Caves!)

On one of our days in Chiang Mai, some friends from South Africa who now live in the city arranged for us to visit Chiang Dao Caves and have lunch in the area.  Chiang Dao is about an hour north of Chiang Mai and the drive to get there is stunning, through gorgeous countryside and lush rainforest.
